Egypt Daily News – Egypt officially responded to the statements of US President Donald Trump about the people of Gaza, where the Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed in a statement, on Sunday, Egypt’s adherence to the principles and determinants of the political settlement of the Palestinian issue, stressing that it “remains the central issue in the Middle East, and that the delay in its settlement, the end of the occupation, and the return of the stolen rights to the Palestinian people, is the basis of instability in the region.”

Egypt also expressed “its continued support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on its land and its adherence to its legitimate rights in its land and country, and the principles of international law and international humanitarian law.”

“Two-state solution”
It also stressed its rejection of any infringement on these inalienable rights, “whether through settlement or annexation of land, or by evacuating that land from its owners through displacement or encouraging the transfer or uprooting of Palestinians from their land, whether temporarily or long-term.” Stressing that this threatens stability, portends a further extension of the conflict to the region, and undermines the chances of peace and coexistence among its peoples.

The Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on the international community to work to start the actual implementation of the two -state solution, “including the embodiment of the Palestinian state over its entire national soil and in the context of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, in accordance with international legitimacy decisions, and based on the borders of the fourth of June 1967 “.

The Speaker of Parliament added that our standing by the people of Palestine is not just a political commitment, but rather a bias towards the truth and the correct side of history. Gebali continued: The Egyptian House of Representatives categorically rejects any arrangements or attempts to change the geographical and political reality of the Palestinian issue, because such policies in the past only led to deepening the crisis and perpetuating injustice, and therefore we affirm that the only solution to achieving lasting peace is implementing the two-state solution, including It guarantees the Palestinian people the establishment of their independent state within 1 year borders 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Guardian: The forced displacement of the residents of Gaza will be a war crime

The British newspaper “The Guardian” said that US President Donald Trump’s proposal to remove large numbers of Palestinians from Gaza to “cleanse” the entire Strip sparked widespread controversy and was met with great rejection by US allies in the region.
