Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian football Olympic team faced a tough setback in the semi-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympics, losing to France with a score of 3-1 at the Parc Olympique Lyon stadium.
Mahmoud Saber gave Egypt an early lead by scoring in the 61st minute. However, France equalized with a goal from Jean-Philippe Mateta in the 82nd minute. Mateta then scored again in the 99th minute, giving France the lead, and Michael Ollis added a third goal in the 109th minute to seal the victory.
Despite the disappointment, the Egyptian team will now compete against Morocco for the bronze medal, aiming to secure a spot on the podium in this prestigious tournament.
