Egypt Daily News – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel -Ati said that Egypt has a clear vision of the reconstruction of Gaza without any Palestinian leaving his land.
Abdel -Ati added, during a joint press conference with his Djiboutian counterpart, Mahmoud Ali Youssef, on Sunday: “We have a clear vision in the reconstruction of Gaza and we have an Arab consensus in this regard, and we do talk to the United Nations in this framework.”
He stated that this process is a first stage that leads to the start of a credible political process that leads to the establishment of the Palestinian state to prevent the repetition of violence and aggression, stressing this is the only way to achieve security and stability in the region.
He noted the importance of implementing urgent projects for and early recovery, the Gaza Strip in parallel with the entry of aid, especially in the areas of potable water, sanitation and health, adding that Egypt has a plan in cooperation with the United Nations in this regard.
He pointed to the continued Egyptian efforts in implementing the ceasefire agreement in its three stages, in order to sustain the ceasefire, and the requirements that this requires to advance early recovery projects and full access to shelter, food and medical materials into the sector to address the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza.
