Egypt Daily News – On behalf of President Sisi, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration, began his visit to Algeria on Thursday by meeting with President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President of Algeria. During the meeting, Minister Abdel Aty delivered a written message from President Sisi to President Tebboune, addressing the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
Minister Abdel Aty praised the historic ties that unite Egypt and Algeria, expressing hope for further enhancing cooperation between the two nations across various sectors, in a way that fulfills the aspirations of both peoples and strengthens their shared interests.
He also expressed eagerness to hold the ninth session of the Egyptian-Algerian Joint Higher Committee in Cairo later this year, as well as to organize a business forum between the two sides to help advance economic and investment cooperation. The minister welcomed enhanced collaboration in the field of development and affirmed Egypt’s readiness to support development projects in Algeria through Egyptian companies, given their strong expertise and capabilities.
The meeting also addressed key issues in the Arab region, particularly the Palestinian cause. Minister Abdel Aty reviewed Egypt’s efforts to resume the implementation of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, aiming to restore calm and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid to the area.
The two sides also discussed the Arab-Islamic plan for early recovery and reconstruction, with the presence of Palestinians on their land, and the next steps to gain support for the plan from international partners. Developments in Libya and Sudan were also discussed.
President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in turn, conveyed his greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and praised the fraternal ties and historic bonds that unite the two countries and their peoples.
