Egypt Daily News – On Sunday, Badr Abdel Aty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the President of Sudan’s Transitional Sovereignty Council.
During the meeting, Abdel Aty extended greetings and appreciation from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, underscoring Egypt’s commitment to supporting Sudan and maintaining the integrity of its territory while refraining from interfering in its internal matters.
He also expressed Egypt’s readiness to address any humanitarian and relief needs arising from the situation in Sudan.
The discussions centered around efforts to restore peace and stability in Sudan. Abdel Aty reaffirmed Egypt’s dedication to assisting Sudanese citizens in navigating the current crisis, emphasizing the importance of Sudan’s unity and the strengthening of its state institutions in alignment with the aspirations of its people.
Al-Burhan reciprocated by expressing his gratitude to President Sisi and acknowledging the significant leadership role Egypt plays in supporting Sudan and its national institutions. He also conveyed appreciation for the care and protection the Egyptian people have provided to Sudanese individuals within Egypt.
