Egypt Daily News – An Egyptian high-level source has reportedly accused Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of spreading falsehoods to distract from what they claim are failures in handling the situation in Gaza.
According to a report from Cairo News Channel, the source asserted that Netanyahu’s allegations regarding arms smuggling from Egypt are fabricated, intended to deflect attention from Israel’s inability to control arms smuggling from its own territory into the Gaza Strip.
The source emphasized that Israel has not succeeded in dismantling the arms smuggling networks operating from Kerem Shalom to Gaza. Furthermore, they stated that the Israeli government is losing credibility both domestically and internationally, as it resorts to promoting untruths to obscure its shortcomings.
The source also criticized Netanyahu for allegedly exploiting claims of smuggling from Egypt as a cover for his lack of progress in finding hostages and achieving military objectives in both Gaza and the West Bank.
There is reportedly a growing dissatisfaction among various parties regarding the Prime Minister’s inability to negotiate a ceasefire agreement, with the source claiming that Netanyahu’s administration is overlooking arms smuggling occurring within Israel itself, potentially to justify actions taken against the Palestinian population.
