Egyptian Nada Hafez qualifies in fencing for the next round at the Paris Olympics

Egypt Daily News – Egyptian fencer Nada Hafez has successfully qualified for the round of 16 in the women’s singles competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. She achieved this by defeating American opponent Elizabeth Tartakovsky with a close score of 15-13. Hafez is set to face Jeon Hyung in the upcoming round of 16.

In contrast, Tunisian athlete Yasmine Daghfous was not as fortunate, as she was eliminated in the second round after losing to French fencer Sarah Balzer with the score of 9-15. Balzer will advance to the round of 16 where she will compete against Turkey’s Nesatur Erbil.
