Humanitarian trucks entering Gaza

Egypt Daily News – Dr. Amal Emam, Executive Director of the Egyptian Red Crescent, said that since the beginning of the implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which was a hope for all humanitarian workers, there has been a flow of safe provision of humanitarian aid.

Amal Imam added during an intervention on the “6 Hour” program, presented by the journalist Azza Mustafa, on Al-Hayat channel, that Egyptian diplomacy and foreign affairs played a major role in order for us to be in front of this historical scene, because trucks are lined up in front of the Rafah land crossing, where a large number of civilians enter. Aid is provided daily to the sector through the crossing.

Amal Imam pointed out that humanitarian aid is being properly prepared and packaged and placed and arranged in a way that allows it to pass through the crossings, and it is a great epic in which the Egyptian Red Crescent’s efforts are combined with civil society and the Egyptian authorities.

She explained that hundreds of trucks have crossed into the Gaza Strip, and there are hundreds more waiting to cross, pointing out that more than 1,500 trucks have begun entering the Strip since Sunday, and 800 to 900 trucks have already arrived in the Strip, which is the largest number that has arrived in Gaza as a result of the agreement.
