The exercise began with remarks from Major General Abdel Maati Abdel Aziz Allam, Commander of the Central Military Region, who expressed gratitude to the general command for its continuous support and guidance. He emphasized that the troops of the Central Region would remain at the peak of combat readiness, prepared to defend Egyptian soil at any cost.

During the inspection, General Saqr reviewed the deployed forces across various branches and specializations, observing weapons and equipment displays that showcased the army’s technological advancements. The demonstration highlighted the integration of modern combat systems, positioning the Egyptian Armed Forces among the most capable in the region.

Aerial units also performed a high-profile flyover, illustrating the pilots’ precision and the air force’s capacity to execute missions within tight operational timelines. The minister personally engaged with soldiers on their methods and readiness, ensuring that each unit maintained peak operational capability.

In his address, General Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, praising the Central Region’s personnel for their high morale and disciplined performance. “What I have witnessed today fills us with pride, reassurance, and confidence,” he said. “We are the people’s army rooted in this blessed land and that is what defines the Egyptian Armed Forces.”

He also lauded the nation’s recent achievements, including the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum and the successful Sharm El-Sheikh conference, noting the international recognition and respect Egypt has earned. The minister reaffirmed that Egypt’s strategic choice remains peace, while emphasizing the sacred duty of the armed forces to safeguard the country’s borders.

“When danger approaches Egypt’s frontiers, and threatens to cross into our land, this is your moment of responsibility,” he told the troops. He concluded with a solemn pledge: “We swear to God, to the homeland, and to the Commander-in-Chief, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to remain steadfast, always ready to sacrifice our lives and blood for this nation and its great people.”
