Egypt Daily News – The family of an Egyptian terrorist residing in Syria and inciting violence against Egypt announced its disavowal of him. In a video, Atef Al-Mansour, the father of the Egyptian terrorist Ahmed Al-Mansour, who broadcasts videos from Syria inciting against Egypt and calling for revolution against the regime, announced that it has disowned him, denying what his son said that the Egyptian authorities arrested him and his family and imprisoned them.
He added that his son wants to be a leader, declaring his condemnation of his actions, noting that the state spent a million pounds on Ahmed’s brother to obtain a master’s degree from Italy.
Ahmed Al-Mansour had sparked widespread controversy after he appeared in videos from his office in the Syrian capital, Damascus, attacking Egypt, threatening revolution and violence against Egypt. Al-Mansour broadcasted videos in which he announced the establishment of the “January 25 Revolutionaries Movement” and called for demonstrations against the regime in Egypt.
Al-Mansour was born in Alexandria Governorate, but he’s originally from Sohag. He joined the “Hazmoun Movement,” which was founded by the Salafist leader Hazem Salah Abu Ismail. He participated in the Rabaa al-Adawiya and Nahda sit-ins in 2013, and after the overthrow of the Brotherhood’s rule, he fled Egypt and joined the “Army of Conquest” and “Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.”
Ahmed Mansour was arrested in Syria
Syrian security sources announced the arrest of Egyptian terrorist Ahmed Mansour by the security services, after he broadcast video clips in which he threatened the Egyptian state.
For its part, a platform calling itself “January 25 Revolutionaries” and affiliated with the terrorist Ahmed Mansour announced that he had disappeared in Damascus, along with some of his companions, since yesterday, Tuesday.
