Egypt Daily News – Israeli aircraft have conducted heavy airstrikes targeting various locations in the southern suburb of Beirut, particularly focusing on the Shiyah area, which recently saw an attack on a Civil Defense Center.

The strikes also affected multiple neighborhoods and complexes, including Choueifat and Hadath, showing a broad military campaign.

In addition to the strikes in Beirut, airstrikes in Baalbek have reportedly resulted in fatalities and injuries, reflecting the toll of the ongoing conflict. The targeted areas in Baalbek, including Al-Bazaliyeh and its surroundings, indicate a continued focus on regions known for their affiliation with Hezbollah and other militant groups.

Hezbollah’s response has been assertive, with the group engaging Israeli forces attempting to breach the border in southern Lebanon. Their operations against Israeli settlements signify a proactive defense strategy, as they claim to have inflicted damage on Israeli infantry units with artillery and rocket fire.

The Israeli army has reinforced its presence in southern Lebanon, integrating additional infantry and armored units into ongoing operations. This military buildup suggests a sustained commitment to countering perceived threats in the region.

As tensions rise, calls for civilian evacuation from conflict areas heighten concerns over humanitarian implications amid the violence. The situation remains fluid, and diplomatic efforts will be crucial in addressing the escalating conflict and ensuring the safety of civilians affected by these military actions.
