Egypt Daily News – During his visit to Washington, Dr. Badr Abdel Aty, the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in a roundtable discussion at the Atlantic Council. The event, titled “A Conversation with the Foreign Minister of Egypt: Amid Constantly Changing and Evolving Regional Dynamics,” took place on the second day of his visit.

In his address, Minister Abdel Aty focused on the bilateral relations between Egypt and the United States, highlighting the recent initiation of a new round of strategic dialogue between the two nations. He also discussed Egypt’s economic reform efforts on a national level.

The discussion proved interactive, allowing attendees to engage with the Foreign Minister on significant regional issues.

Minister Abdel Aty provided insights into Egypt’s stance on the ongoing conflict in Gaza, discussed developments in neighboring Sudan and Libya, addressed concerns regarding maritime security in the Red Sea and the Horn of Africa, and mentioned the situation surrounding the Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam.
