Egypt Daily News – Reports from Gaza indicate a high death toll following a series of Israeli air raids. More than 30 individuals have died since this morning alone, with significant casualties in Khan Yunis and Rafah due to attacks on civilian areas.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health has provided alarming statistics, reporting an overall death toll of nearly 40,000 and over 92,000 injuries since the beginning of the conflict on October 7, 2023.

The recent assaults have particularly affected the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood and the Ma’an area in Khan Yunis, with an airstrike on a family home resulting in multiple fatalities and injuries, as well as missing individuals believed to be trapped under debris.

Despite ongoing calls from international bodies, including the UN Security Council and the International Court of Justice, for an immediate cessation of hostilities and humanitarian intervention, Israel continues its military operations in the Gaza Strip.

The humanitarian situation is critical, with reports of widespread destruction and famine affecting the local population, disproportionately impacting children and women.
