Egypt Daily News – Billionaire Businessman Hisham Talaat Mustafa said, during an interview with Amr Adib, on MBC Egypt, that a civilized society for the people of Gaza can be built in just 3 years at a cost of 27 billion dollars.

He added that the proposal includes building 200,000 housing units inside Gaza that accommodates 1.3 million citizens at a cost of 20 billion dollars, plus the infrastructure for water, electricity and sanitation at a cost of 4 billion dollars, in addition to health, educational, sports, commercial and entertainment services at 3 billion dollars.

He stressed that the proposal can be implemented by 40 to 50 of the major contracting companies operating in the region, and that the cost is easy to manage through the Gulf states and other members of the international community.

The United Nations had said that it could take at least 15 years to clear Gaza’s rubble, with 100 trucks working full time.

Egypt had also confirmed that “We have a clear vision for the reconstruction of Gaza without any Palestinian exiting his land“.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Abdel -Ati said during a joint press conference with his Djiboutian counterpart, Mahmoud Ali Youssef, on Sunday: “We have a clear vision in the reconstruction of Gaza and we have an Arab consensus in this regard, and we do talk to the United Nations in this framework.”
