In a rare display of unified support, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar issued a joint statement welcoming the U.S. peace initiative for Gaza unveiled by President Donald Trump.

The ministers expressed strong support for President Trump’s leadership and “genuine efforts” to bring an end to the ongoing war in Gaza, emphasizing their confidence in his ability to chart a path toward a just and lasting peace in the region.

“We commend President Trump’s leadership in pursuing peace and his clear stance against the annexation of the West Bank. His proposal marks a serious and positive step toward ending the war, rebuilding Gaza, preventing the displacement of Palestinians, and advancing a comprehensive peace,” the statement read.

A Strategic Partnership with the U.S.

The eight nations reiterated the importance of maintaining a strategic partnership with the United States in order to stabilize the Middle East, and welcomed the key elements of Trump’s plan:

  • An immediate ceasefire and complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza
  • Full humanitarian access and reconstruction of Gaza
  • Protection of Palestinian civilians and a firm rejection of any forced displacement
  • A clear pathway toward the two-state solution, uniting Gaza and the West Bank under a sovereign Palestinian state
  • A security framework that guarantees the safety of all parties, including Israel and neighboring states

The ministers also endorsed the plan’s commitment to preventing the annexation of additional Palestinian territory, viewing it as a critical reassurance to regional stability.

Willingness to Collaborate

The signatories affirmed their readiness to work constructively and in good faith with the United States and all relevant stakeholders to reach a final agreement and ensure its implementation.

“We share a unified commitment to ending the suffering in Gaza and achieving a durable peace through a negotiated political solution grounded in international law,” the statement added.

They stressed that the proposed roadmap which includes the release of hostages, deployment of an international stabilization force, and the creation of a transitional authority for Gaza, offers the most promising opportunity in years to end the cycle of violence and usher in a new era of peace and coexistence.

The statement marks a significant moment of alignment between key Arab and Islamic countries, many of whom have traditionally held differing approaches to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Their collective support lends critical regional legitimacy to the U.S.-brokered initiative and signals a growing consensus on the need for a pragmatic resolution to the Gaza crisis.

This joint endorsement is expected to increase diplomatic pressure on Hamas to accept the terms of the deal, especially as most of the Arab and Muslim world along with Israel has now indicated willingness to move forward.
