Egypt Daily News – Israel rhas reportedly outlining its conditions for a diplomatic resolution to the ongoing conflict in Lebanon. According to Axios, Israel has demanded key measures to prevent Hezbollah from rearming and reconstructing its military capabilities near the border.

One significant demand is for permission for Israeli armed forces to participate in the effective enforcement of these conditions. Additionally, Israel has requested freedom of movement for its air forces within Lebanese airspace.

The response from the U.S. indicates a potential skepticism regarding Israel’s proposed terms, with an American official stating that it is unlikely Lebanon and the international community would find these conditions acceptable.

The views on Hezbollah, which many nations, including the U.S., EU, and Britain, classify as a terrorist organization, complicate the diplomatic landscape. Germany has also taken steps against Hezbollah, having banned its activities since 2020.

As discussions unfold, U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken and envoy Amos Hochstein, are actively engaging with parties in the region to seek a solution. Blinken is expected to arrive in Israel soon to participate in these discussions.

The urgency to bring an end to the conflict has been emphasized by Vice President Kamala Harris, underlining the need for dialogue and resolution before the situation worsens.
