UAE AID to Gaza

Egypt Daily News – The “Gallant Knight 3” operation, launched by the United Arab Emirates to assist residents of the Gaza Strip, announced the theft of 23 truckloads of aid by Israel after they entered Gaza in areas under Israeli military control. In a statement on Saturday, the operation reported that last Wednesday saw the entry of several trucks carrying flour and bakery supplies into warehouses, raising hopes for restarting bakeries in the Strip.

The statement added that 103 additional trucks carrying flour, gas, oil, salt, sugar, and other essential bakery supplies were planned to enter, but only a few actually made it in. It confirmed that only 24 trucks were allowed entry, and just one truckload actually reached the warehouses.

The operation explained that the main reason for this was the Israeli army’s insistence on imposing unsafe crossing routes. During transit through the so-called “red zone,” which is under Israeli control, the trucks were subjected to looting and theft, leading to the loss of most of their cargo.

“Gallant Knight 3” expressed deep regret and strongly condemned these attacks, which deprive Gaza’s residents of their rightful access to food and essential humanitarian aid. It warned that continued obstruction of relief efforts for the 2.3 million civilians in the Strip could lead to a severe worsening of the humanitarian disaster.

The operation appealed to the international community and all relevant parties to intervene urgently and ensure the establishment of safe and continuous corridors for the secure and swift delivery of aid.

It emphasized that, in line with the UAE’s steadfast commitment to stand with the Palestinian people in their ordeal, “Gallant Knight 3” will continue its intensive humanitarian efforts to provide urgent relief assistance to the Gaza Strip.
