Egypt Daily News – The Israeli radio quoted security and military sources as saying, “Israel can show more flexibility regarding the Philadelphi axis.”
Egypt reiterated its assurance to all concerned parties that it does not accept any Israeli presence at the Rafah crossing or the Philadelphia axis.
A high-level source said that Egypt is mediating between the two sides of the conflict in Gaza in a manner consistent with its national security and in a manner that preserves the rights of the Palestinian people.
The source added that the Egyptian security delegation is making every effort to achieve a degree of consensus between the two parties and is coordinating its efforts with partners in Qatar and the United States of America.
