Egypt Daily News – Israeli Army Radio reported that the Air Force attacked 50 targets in Lebanon on Saturday in response to the launch of six rockets toward the town of Metula in northern Israel.
The office of Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant announced that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Gallant had instructed the army to launch a second wave of attacks in Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah positions.
In a statement on Saturday, the office said the second wave of strikes was in response to the rocket fire from Lebanon and a continuation of the first wave, adding that “the Lebanese government bears responsibility for everything happening on its territory.”
The statement continued, “We will not allow any harm to our citizens or our sovereignty, and we will take all necessary measures to ensure the security of northern residents.”
Additionally, Israeli artillery fired 13 shells at several towns in southern Lebanon on Saturday.
