Egypt Daily News – Field Marshal Abdul Majid Saqr, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, recently conducted an inspection of the Mohamed Naguib Military Base alongside Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, and several military leaders. This visit underscores the General Command’s dedication to the field monitoring of military formations and units.
During the inspection, Major General Hisham Hosni, the Commander of the Northern Military Zone, provided a detailed overview of the Mohamed Naguib Military Base, which stands as a key stronghold for the Egyptian military.
The base is equipped with a robust military force, alongside various combat and administrative units, as well as training ranges for a wide array of weapons.
Field Marshal Saqr toured specialized training fields and engaged in discussions with personnel regarding their operational duties. He inspected advanced electronic shooting ranges that are outfitted with modern systems, positioning the base to host joint training exercises and facilitating experience sharing with allied nations.
The Commander-in-Chief also assessed the accommodation and living conditions for delegations from nations participating in these exercises.
In a show of camaraderie, he shared a meal with the troops of the Northern Military Region and conveyed greetings from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, while also extending congratulations on the occasion of the Prophet’s birthday.
Field Marshal Saqr emphasized the strategic significance of the Mohamed Naguib Military Base as a deterrent against potential threats from the northern strategic front, where it is equipped with the latest weaponry and technology. He highlighted the base’s role as a venue for joint exercises that integrate various training components and capabilities.
