Egypt Daily News – Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, met today, Monday, with members of the Egyptian community in Oman, during his official visit to the capital, Muscat.

The meeting comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to enhance communication with members of Egyptian communities abroad and listen to their proposals, aspirations, and challenges they face.

Dr. Abdel Ati praised the positive role played by the Egyptian community in conveying a positive image of Egypt and supporting Egyptian-Omani relations, in light of the fraternal and historical relations that link the two countries, stressing the importance of the community’s role in contributing to the modernization process taking place in the Sultanate of Oman, which was appreciated by the side. Oman, in addition to supporting economic cooperation and transfer of expertise between Egypt and Oman.

He also reviewed the ministry’s plan to develop the consular work system through the digital transformation of consular services to facilitate consular transactions and reduce the necessary time period, as well as launching a number of services and initiatives for Egyptians abroad, calling on members of the community to contribute effectively to the development process in the country, and to exercise their constitutional rights by participating in constitutional entitlements. different aspects, maintaining communication with the homeland, and instilling the concepts of belonging and patriotism in Egyptians of the second and third generations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs was keen to listen to the inquiries and suggestions of members of the community, as the discussions covered topics related to the latest developments within the Egyptian state, including efforts made to achieve sustainable development and stimulate investment, as well as proposals to improve consular services, facilitate official transaction procedures, and provide educational and cultural support to Egyptians. outside.

The Minister stressed that caring for Egyptian citizens, meeting their needs, improving the quality of consular services, and working to raise their efficiency are the top priorities of the Ministry’s work.
