Egypt Daily News – Liverpool Football Club announced on Friday morning the renewal of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah’s contract, extending his stay with the Reds beyond the 2024–2025 season, continuing his remarkable journey at Anfield.

The club confirmed he had put pen to paper on a new deal until 2027 worth £380,000-per-week, ending the dramatic saga. Liverpool have broken club policy in offering him a new deal, as Fenway Sports group are typically reluctant to hand out new contracts to players over 30

The contract renewal comes as Mohamed Salah enjoys yet another exceptional season, having scored 32 goals in 45 matches across all competitions so far, including 27 goals in the Premier League, making him the league’s top scorer. He has also provided 22 assists for his teammates.

This new deal marks a continuation of Salah’s journey that began with Liverpool in the summer of 2017, when he joined from Italian club Roma. In just a few years, he became one of the greatest players in the club’s history.

Salah currently ranks third on Liverpool’s all-time top scorers list, with 243 goals in 394 appearances, cementing his status among the club’s legends.

During his time at Liverpool, Salah has won seven major trophies, including the Premier League, UEFA Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, and two EFL Cups.

He has also earned numerous individual honors, most notably the Premier League Golden Boot three times, the PFA Player of the Year award twice, and the FWA Footballer of the Year award twice as well.

With this new contract, Salah aims to continue winning titles and achieving further success with Liverpool under the leadership of head coach Arne Slot, as he looks to keep writing history at Anfield.
