Israel bombing Beirut

Egypt Daily News – A series of violent airstrikes shook the southern suburbs of Beirut during the night as the Israeli army continued to target several areas in Lebanon, while the Lebanese described what the capital witnessed as the most intense night ever.

A video showed the explosions lighting up the densely populated southern suburbs as a result of the Israeli bombardment of the suburbs with more than 30 airstrikes, which targeted several buildings on the airport road, Haret Hreik, Burj al-Barajneh, Mar Elias, and Shweifat.

The residents of Beirut felt a tremor from the intensity of the shelling, accompanied by the sounds of violent explosions whose echoes were heard in many Lebanese areas.

Shrapnel scattered over the neighboring regions, and clouds of smoke covered the suburbs. The Israeli army claimed that it struck targets near Beirut, stating that around 30 projectiles crossed from Lebanon into Israeli territory, and some were intercepted.

The Israeli army spokesperson said they will continue to strike Hezbollah forcefully and strip it of its capabilities.

At least 1,400 Lebanese were killed, including civilians, paramedics, and Hezbollah fighters. In the latest report from the Emergency Committee, 172,100 displaced individuals were recorded in the shelters listed in the regulations issued by the National Operations Room.

Hundreds of thousands of people have fled their homes and slept on the beaches and streets.
