Egypt Daily News – The Israeli newspaper “Maariv” said that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s trip to the White House has taken an exceptional path to avoid flying over some countries that might arrest him based on the warrant issued against him by the International Criminal Court.
The newspaper called the flight “The Hague Drug” and asked whether the leader of the Likud party was afraid of his arrest, noting that the trackers of the “Zion” plane that was on board, arrived in Washington after 14 hours, and crossed over the Atlantic Ocean, avoiding passing over some Capitals.
The journey was supposed to take off east over the Mediterranean, pass over Greece or Turkey, fly over European countries such as Italy, Switzerland, France or Germany, then cross the Atlantic Ocean, and then enters Canadian airspace, to continue south towards the eastern United States American until its arrival, Washington.
However, Netanyahu took a different path, as the plane crossed over Greece and from there over Rome towards Turin and Lyon to the Atlantic Ocean, which raised the ridicule of the Israeli newspaper.
According to the arrest warrant issued by The Hague, Netanyahu prohibits the entry of more than 120 countries, including 39 European countries such as Germany, France and Britain, in addition to the neighboring countries such as Cyprus and Greece.
In Africa, there are 30 countries who signed the agreement, including important countries such as South Africa, Nigeria and Kenya. In the Americas, 24 countries joined the treaty, including regional powers such as Brazil, Canada and Mexico.
Earlier, the Minister of Diaspora Affairs, Amihai Chicley, was forced to cancel his trip to Brussels after concrete security warnings and based on instructions from security officials.
Netanyahu is visiting Washington today to discuss the second stage of negotiations with Hamas, where Steve Witkeov, Trump’s envoy to the Middle East, will meet tomorrow, to meet tomorrow with the American president.
