Egypt Daily News – Israeli Channel 12 reported on Tuesday that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was discharged from the hospital to participate in voting on a budget law after the coalition failed to muster a majority.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s Office had previously said that Netanyahu was in good condition and fully conscious after undergoing a “successful” prostate operation, according to what was reported by Al Jazeera Net.
On Sunday, an Israeli hospital announced that Netanyahu underwent successful prostate surgery.
Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem said that Netanyahu’s prostate gland was removed late Sunday evening. Netanyahu was placed under general anesthesia for the operation. Doctors said he woke up and is recovering after the operation.
Netanyahu’s office had said that Justice Minister Yariv Levin, a close ally of his, would serve as acting prime minister during the process. Doctors ordered the operation after he had been diagnosed with a urinary tract infection caused by a benign prostate enlargement.
