Egypt Daily News – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “Our war is not only in the Gaza Strip, but we will work to change the map of the Middle East.”

During the promotion ceremony of the new Israeli Chief of Staff, Eyal Zamir, Netanyahu said, “With the help of America, our army is receiving more weapons. We are committed to bringing back all the hostages, we will retrieve them, and we will win the war.”

He pointed out, “We have fought a multi-front war, and its results will be evident for generations to come. We will achieve all the objectives of the war, including the complete eradication of Hamas both politically and militarily.” He added, “We have reached the peak of Mount Hermon in Syria and changed the face of the Middle East.”

Netanyahu emphasized, “We have the capability to respond forcefully to anyone who threatens us,” warning of “a fierce war in response to any threats.”

The ceremony for Zamir’s promotion to the rank of Lieutenant General was held at the Israeli military headquarters in Tel Aviv. He replaces General Herzi Halevi as Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, following Halevi’s resignation due to the military’s failure to prevent Hamas’ attack on October 7, 2023.
