Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian Olympic football team qualified for the semi-finals of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games after defeating Paraguay on penalties, 5-4, during the match that was held between them 1 -1 this evening, in the quarter-finals.
The original time of the match ended in a draw with one goal for each team, so the two teams went to extra time, which saw the continuation of the tie and the two teams resorted to penalty kicks.
Diego Gomez scored a goal for Paraguay in the 71st minute, and Ibrahim Adel equalized for Egypt in the 88th minute of the match.
The Egyptian national team is scheduled to face France which beat Argentina 1-0 to reach the semi-Finals as well.
