Egypt Daily News – FIFA has officially announced the prize money of one billion dollars for the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which will take place in the United States during the summer of this year, with 32 teams participating for the first time in the history of the tournament.

FIFA stated in an official statement on its website that a total prize pool of one billion US dollars has been allocated for the 32 teams participating in the competition.

According to the statement, the winner of each match in the group stage (three matches) will receive 2 million dollars, while each draw will earn one million dollars. The team that qualifies for the round of 16 will receive 7.5 million dollars, 13.125 million dollars for reaching the quarterfinals, and 21 million dollars for advancing to the semifinals. The reward for qualifying for the final is 30 million dollars, and the winner will receive an additional 40 million dollars. In addition to performance-based rewards, there is a fixed amount for each participating team, depending on their continental federation.

Each European club will receive an amount ranging from 12.81 to 38.19 million dollars, determined by a classification based on sports and commercial criteria. The South American club will receive 15.21 million dollars, while each African club will receive 9.55 million dollars. The same reward applies to clubs from Asia, North, and Central America, while Oceanian clubs will receive 3.58 million dollars.

FIFA announces the schedule for the 2025 Club World Cup matches

FIFA also announced the schedule for the group stage of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, which is set to begin on June 14 in the United States.

The group stage matches will take place over 13 days, with 48 matches being played. The top two teams from each group will advance to the next stage, and the opening match will be between Al Ahly of Egypt and Inter Miami of the United States.

The 2025 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup will be held in Miami, USA, from June 14 to July 13, 2025. This version of the tournament will be held every four years, similar to the FIFA World Cup for national teams.

Group stages:

  • Group 1: Palmeiras, Porto, Al Ahly, Inter Miami
  • Group 2: Paris Saint-Germain, Atlético Madrid, Botafogo, Seattle Sounders
  • Group 3: Bayern Munich, Auckland City, Boca Juniors, Benfica
  • Group 4: Flamengo, Esperance, Chelsea, León (Mexico)
  • Group 5: River Plate, Urawa Red Diamonds, Monterrey, Inter Milan
  • Group 6: Fluminense, Borussia Dortmund, Ulsan, Mamelodi Sundowns
  • Group 7: Manchester City, Wydad Casablanca, Al Ain, Juventus
  • Group 8: Real Madrid, Al Hilal, Pachuca, Red Bull Salzburg

Five Arab clubs will participate in the upcoming edition of the Club World Cup: Al Ahly (Egypt), Al Hilal (Saudi Arabia), Wydad Casablanca (Morocco), Esperance (Tunisia), and Al Ain (UAE).

Wydad Casablanca plays Manchester City on June 18, then Juventus on June 22, and finishes with Al Ain on June 26.

Al Ahly starts with a match against Inter Miami (USA) on June 14, 2025, then faces Palmeiras on June 19, and concludes its group stage with Porto on June 23.

Al Hilal begins with Real Madrid on June 18, followed by Red Bull Salzburg on June 22, and ends with Pachuca on June 26.

Esperance starts with Flamengo on June 16, followed by León (Mexico) on June 20, and finishes with Chelsea on June 24.
