Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived on Monday in the State of Kuwait, the second stop of his Gulf tour, which also included Qatar. During his visit to Doha, he met with Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and several members of the Qatari business community.
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi was warmly received at the Amiri Airport by Emir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah.
Kuwaiti media, print, television, and radio have shown great interest in President El-Sisi’s visit, highlighting the strong and longstanding Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations as a model of Arab unity and cooperation at both leadership and popular levels.
Media reports emphasized the deep history of mutual support between the two countries, with Kuwaiti investments in Egypt exceeding $20 billion through around 1,000 Kuwaiti companies operating there.
As a sign of welcome, several Kuwaiti military aircraft escorted the presidential plane as it entered Kuwaiti airspace. Additionally, Kuwaiti scouts lined up at the Amiri Airport holding the flags of both nations, reflecting the depth of brotherly ties.
