President Sisi call with Spanish Prime Minister

Egypt Daily News – Today, President Abdel Fattah El -Sisi received a phone call from Spanish Prime Minister “Pedro Sanchez”.

The spokesperson for the presidency stated that the President and the Spanish Prime Minister emphasized the momentum witnessed by bilateral relations between the two countries, and the need to continue to strengthen them in various fields, especially economic, commercial and investment fields.

Ambassador Mohamed El -Shennawi, added that the call touched on the regional situation, where the Spanish Prime Minister praised the main Egyptian role in reaching the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, and the Spanish Prime Minister was keen to listen to the President’s vision regarding the implementation of the agreement, which contributes in ending the bloodshed and the restoration the calm in the area.

For his part, President Sisi praised the Spanish position in support of the Palestinian cause, reviewing the Egyptian efforts to implement humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip in order to alleviate the humanitarian tragedy suffered by the residents of the Strip, and emphasizing the Egyptian constants on the need to work to implement the two -state solution, and establish an independent Palestinian state on the border of the 4th of June 1967, which represents the most important guarantor to achieve sustainable stability in the region.

The spokesperson pointed out that the call also touched on the situation in Lebanon, Syria, Sudan and Libya, as the two sides discussed ways to restore regional stability and protect peoples from crises that afflict the region.
