Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated today, Saturday, in the meeting of Egyptian women and the ideal mother, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Environment Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Local Development Dr. Manal Awad Mikhail, Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy, and Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women, along with a number of female leaders and Egyptian women from various fields.
The official spokesperson for the Presidency stated that the President listened to a speech by Counselor Amal Ammar, President of the National Council for Women, who reviewed the council’s efforts in supporting and empowering Egyptian women, particularly in social empowerment and leadership positions in society, as well as the preparation of the National Strategy for Women’s Empowerment 2030.
Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawy, the official spokesperson, added that the meeting included presentations by Minister of Social Solidarity Dr. Maya Morsy and Minister of Planning, Economic Development, and International Cooperation Dr. Rania Al-Mashat on the government’s efforts to support Egyptian women, especially through social protection programs such as “Takaful and Karama,” increasing financial support for Egyptian families and female breadwinners, and enhancing women’s economic empowerment as part of Egypt’s Vision 2030. During the meeting, the President also watched a documentary film on the state’s efforts to support Egyptian women.
The spokesperson further explained that the meeting featured an interactive discussion between the President and some of the participants on various topics related to women, motherhood, childhood, Alzheimer’s disease, and the role of art and media in shaping Egyptian identity and public taste, as well as the contributions of female social entrepreneurs. At the end of the meeting, the President delivered a speech emphasizing the pivotal role of women in building and developing the state, praising the progress made by Egyptian women in various fields.
