Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received the Chairman of the Board of Directors of GCL, Zhu Gongshan, in the presence of Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy Eng. Mahmoud Esmat, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Concord EC Eng. Ahmed Elabd.
The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the meeting touched on prospects of cooperation with the Chinese company in the field of renewable energy, and the possibility of localizing the renewable energy industry in Egypt. The Chairman of the Chinese company highlighted Egypt’s strategic geographic location, which is attractive to investment, as well as security and stability in the country, and its climate, which is conducive to solar energy production.
He also commended the measures taken by the Egyptian government in recent years to encourage and attract foreign investment.
