Today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto. Spokesman for the Presidency Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the Indonesian president extended his greetings to President El-Sisi on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr.

He expressed his wishes for continued prosperity and well-being for the Egyptian people.

President El-Sisi expressed his appreciation for this gesture and extended greetings to the Indonesian president on this blessed occasion, asking Allah the Almighty to bring this blessed occasion back to both countries and the Islamic nation with goodness, blessings, and prosperity.

The call also touched on regional developments in the Middle East.

President El-Sisi reviewed Egypt’s efforts to halt the ongoing escalation in the region and contain its repercussions, particularly in light of its negative economic impacts and consequences for regional and global stability.

In this regard, the President reaffirmed Egypt’s support for the security and sovereignty of Arab states and categorical rejection of any actions that would undermine their stability or violate their sovereignty under any pretext.

The Indonesian president praised Egypt’s efforts to restore regional stability and de-escalate tensions, emphasizing the importance of reducing the current tensions. He also affirmed Indonesia’s commitment to maintaining close consultation with Egypt to promote peace and stability both regionally and internationally.

The call further tackled the strategic partnership between Egypt and Indonesia.

The two presidents expressed their pride in the historic strategic relations between the two countries. They also reiterated the importance of elevating these ties across various fields.
