The Presidency – French President Emmanuel Macron stated that his country continues to work as a trusted partner with Egypt.

During his speech at the Egyptian-French Universities Forum at Cairo University on Tuesday evening, he emphasized that France has a presence through French schools, with many Egyptians receiving their education there.

He explained that these schools represent the beautiful face of French culture that Egyptians are familiar with, praising Egypt’s diversity, saying: “In this country, you find Jewish temples, churches, and mosques… it is a country that brings together all religions.”

President Macron pointed out that this collaboration would continue through the presence of the French language in these schools, allowing everyone to continue their education in this context. He expressed France’s desire to be a partner with Egypt in the Baccalaureate certification, a point he had conveyed to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

He stressed that this initiative would serve as an incentive for many Egyptians to learn French and expressed his country’s eagerness to strengthen its partnership with Egypt.

President Macron emphasized the importance of training teachers, offering dual certifications, and increasing the number of universities that provide these certifications, as well as mobilizing the sector to support this effort.

Earlier today, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed President Emmanuel Macron as part of his high-level official visit to Egypt. A formal reception ceremony was held, with both national anthems played and a guard of honor presented.

Ambassador Mohamed El-Shinawy, the official spokesman for the Presidency, stated that the meeting included bilateral discussions, followed by expanded talks with the delegations of both countries.

The two presidents signed a joint declaration to elevate the relationship between Egypt and France to a strategic partnership and witnessed the signing of several memorandums of understanding between the two nations.
