Egypt Daily News – Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Youssef Al -Sharif said that his country is nearing the end of the war after the great victories achieved by the army. Al -Sharif added in a joint press conference with his Egyptian counterpart, Bader Abdel -Ati, after a discussion session in Cairo, on Sunday: “I conveyed to the Minister the developments of the battle of dignity in Sudan and the great victories achieved by the Sudanese army in its efforts to restore the country that is exposed to a major conspiracy.”

He stressed that the Sudanese army “is about to reach the end of this war, and Sudan returns to better than it was,” noting that these achievements came due to the Sudanese people standing with their army, as well as the state and the Egyptian leadership.

He stressed the existence of a full coordination and agreement between Egypt and Sudan on various issues, noting that the coming period will witness consultations on the issue of water and the return of Sudan to its natural place in the African Union.

He continued: “We face major issues and conspiracies and we strive to work together to preserve our countries and the interests of our peoples, which we always say are” one people in two countries. “

The Egyptian minister received his Sudanese counterpart today in Cairo to consult on bilateral relations and to find out the latest field developments in Sudan, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassador Tamim Tamim Khalaf, a spokesman for the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, stated that Minister Abdel -Ati praised the historical relations and the close brotherly ties between the two countries, and stressed Egypt’s solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people during this delicate stage, and determination to make all efforts to restore stability and peace in Sudan, within the framework of Egypt’s support Full for him and his national institutions.

He pointed to the Egyptian minister’s affirmation of Egypt’s position calling for respect for the sovereignty, unity and integrity of Sudan’s lands, as well as strengthening humanitarian response efforts.

He noted that the meeting witnessed a consultation between the two ministers on efforts to ensure Sudan’s resumption of its activities in the African Union, in addition to the effects of Egypt’s effectiveness in the various regional and international efforts aimed at supporting Sudan, and the meeting also touched on the water security file.

The two ministers stressed, according to the statement, the importance of continuing cooperation to preserve the common existential interests of the two brotherly peoples, and as the two countries share the Nile River.
