Egypt Daily News – Today, Thursday, the Syrian Ministry of Defense announced the redeployment and repositioning outside the city of Hama.
The General Command of the Syrian Army and Armed Forces said, in a statement published by the Ministry of Defense on its Facebook page today: “Over the past days, our armed forces have fought fierce battles to repel and thwart the violent and successive attacks launched by terrorist organizations on the city of Hama from various axes and in huge numbers, using all means.”
It pointed out that “during the past hours, with the intensification of confrontations between our soldiers and the terrorist organizations and the rise in numbers of martyrs among the ranks of our forces, these groups were able to penetrate and enter several axes in the city, despite incurring heavy losses among their ranks.”
The Syrian army has taken new defensive positions on the outskirts and villages around Hama.
