Egypt Daily News – Dr. Salah Al-Hadidi, a professor in the Department of Seismology at the National Institute for Astronomical and Geophysical Research, spoke about the fact that Egyptian beaches are exposed to tsunami waves, saying that large numbers of earthquakes are recorded daily, whether inside Egypt or on the borders, stressing that the situation is under control and there are indicators and stations operating with the latest technologies. Everything is recorded through it.

Egypt has large cement wavebreakers
Al-Hadidi added during his interview on the “Sabah Al-Balad” program, broadcast on “Sada Al-Balad” satellite channel, today, Wednesday, that Egypt has large cement wave breakers in places where water levels are expected to rise.

He also pointed out that the term tsunami is of Japanese origin, explaining that the Earth is divided into tectonic plates, each plate separate in itself with its earthquakes.
