Egypt Daily News – US President-elect Donald Trump revealed the details of his meeting yesterday, Wednesday, with President Joe Biden in the White House, and said that they both really enjoyed seeing each other when they sat in their historic meeting in the Oval Office.
Trump said that as he left Washington after the meeting: “You know, it was a long meeting and it was hard work. Both parties made a great effort, and Joe did a very good job in terms of campaigning and other things. We had a really good meeting.”
The two presidents discussed the transfer of power on January 20, and Trump told Biden in front of the world’s press that it would be as smooth a transition as possible, after Trump’s questioning of the results of the 2020 elections led to the events of the storming of Congress.
He said the matter will go very smoothly, speaking about the process of selecting officials for his second administration, adding that the Republican transition team and the White House enjoy very good relations.
Trump said that he discussed with Biden two issues on which they strongly disagree, namely the Ukraine war, which Trump promised to end immediately upon assuming office, and the ongoing war in the Middle East.
He said: I asked about his opinions, and he presented them to me, and we also talked a lot about the Middle East. I wanted to know his opinions about what we think and what he believes.
