Palestinians in Gaza

Egypt Daily News – Despite the international condemnation of its previous statements about the “seizure and purchase” of the Gaza Strip, US President Donald Trump has been repeating again to pour oil on the fire.

He stressed that the Palestinians will not have the right to return, according to his plan to control the devastated sector.

He also added in an excerpt from an interview with “Fox News”, published today, Monday, whether the Palestinians have the right to return: “No, they will not do that, because they will get much better housing.” In addition, he made it clear that he is building a permanent place for them, outside the Strip.

“He is committed to buying Gaza”
Trump had announced in other statements yesterday evening, on the presidential plane, that he is committed to buying and possessing Gaza, indicating that he may give parts of the coastal sector to other countries in the Middle East to help in reconstruction efforts, without specifying which are these countries.

He also claimed that he would turn Gaza into a good site for future development.

The American president has previously spoken repeatedly during the past few days the seizure of the sector and the transfer of the Palestinians from it to neighboring countries, including Egypt and Jordan, despite the opposition of the two countries.

He also suggested converting Gaza into “Riviera Middle East”, where citizens from all over the world are inhabited.

However, his sudden proposal sparked international and Arab criticism, as all Arab countries confirmed their adherence to the right to return and refuse to displace, as well as Western and allied countries to Washington, confirming their adherence to the two -state solution. The displacement of Gaza residents constitutes a violation of humanitarian and international laws, and a flagrant violation of United Nations resolutions on Palestine.

Statements that “reflect a profound ignorance of Palestine and the region”

Hamas denounced Trump’s recent statements, which the movement described as “absurd” and “reflects a profound ignorance of Palestine and the region.” In a statement posted on its account on Telegram, the movement stressed that Gaza “is not a property sold and bought, and it is an integral part of our occupied Palestinian land.”

The statement added that dealing with the Palestinian issue with the mentality of the “real estate dealer” is only “a recipe for failure”, stressing that the Palestinians will work to thwart all plans for displacement and deportation. Hamas concluded its statement that the people of Gaza will not leave Gaza unless they would return to their cities and villages “occupied in 1948”.

The head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement in Gaza, Khalil al -Hayya, said during a celebration of the forty -sixth anniversary of the Iranian Islamic revolution in Tehran, that the plans of the West, the United States, and US President Donald Trump on the Gaza Strip “are doomed to fail, and we will drop them as we have dropped the projects that preceded them.” .

The Kremlin also stated on Monday that it is waiting for more details about the US President’s plan to buy the Gaza Strip.

When asked if Trump’s plan was acceptable for Moscow, the Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, responded at a virtual conference: “It is worth waiting for some details if we are talking about a coherent action plan. We are talking about approximately 1.2 million Palestinians living there, This is probably the main dilemma. “

“These are the ones who we promised them the Security Council resolutions related to the two -state solution to the Middle East problem, etc. There are many such questions. We do not know the details yet, so we have to be patient.”

Where will the Palestinians go?

Steve Witkoff and the National Security Adviser, Mike Waltz, said that the American administration is acknowledging that it is a big question, while revealing that the administration is in contact with a number of allies in the region and “we have to find a collective solution to this problem.”

Trump was decisive about the acceptance of Jordan and Egypt to receive the residents of Gaza, but later added that other countries would accept the Palestinians.

The American President insists that Cairo and Amman, despite their rejectionists, will accept, saying that “the King of Jordan Abdullah II, and General President of Egypt Abdel Fattah El -Sisi will open their heart and will give us the land that we need to complete this project. People will be able to live in harmony and peace.”

According to Trump’s vision, he will be built four, five or six areas for the residents of Gaza, after collecting huge amounts of money provided by rich countries ready for financing, as he put it.
