Egypt Daily News – The Turkish Presidency of Defense Industries intends to participate in the Egypt International Air Show 2024 with the “TAI Hürjet” training aircraft.

The Turkish jet will participate in the International Air and Space Exhibition in Egypt from September 3 to 5, as part of the international promotion of the Turkish aircraft.

Cairo is keen on acquiring this category of aircraft, as discussions on these matters will take place on the sidelines of the exhibition with the Egyptian side and many representatives from the region, alongside the military products of the Turkish aerospace and defense company “TUSAS,” which manufactures the “TAI Hürjet.”

The Egypt International Airshow is considered one of the most important defense events in the Middle East and North Africa, featuring leading names in the international aviation, defense, and technology industries.

The exhibition provides an opportunity for global companies to access regional markets, such as Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, and Dassault Aviation.

The Egyptian Armed Forces revealed during the promotional event for the first edition of the Egypt Air and Space Exhibition the “MiG-29” fighter jet and its powerful armament.

The fighter appeared with two short-range air-to-air infrared-guided R-73 missiles and a pilot’s helmet that extends its range beyond 30 km, as well as two long-range air-to-air radar-guided R-77SD missiles with a range of up to 120 km and a speed of 4.5 Mach. Alongside the exhibition, international flight teams present aerial displays.
