Egypt Daily News – Under the directives of the President of the Republic, Dr. Badr Abdel Ati, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration, with Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council in Sudan, on Wednesday in Port Sudan.
Ambassador Tamim Khallaf, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated that the Foreign Minister began the meeting by conveying the greetings of the President of the Republic to the President of the Sudanese Transitional Sovereignty Council, stressing Egypt’s continued efforts to achieve stability in brotherly Sudan, expressing Egypt’s full solidarity with Sudan and its support for its stability, security and sovereignty. And the unity and integrity of its lands.
Minister Abdel Ati stressed the close historical ties between the two countries, stressing the keenness to continue joint work in order to achieve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs reviewed the Egyptian efforts aimed at supporting stability in brotherly Sudan and resuming its activity in the African Union, welcoming the decisions of the Sovereignty Council regarding accelerating the pace of entry of humanitarian aid into Sudan.
The official spokesman added that Minister Abdel-Aty also reviewed the facilities provided by Egypt to the Sudanese brothers in Egypt until their safe return to their country after the restoration of security and stability in Sudan.
Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan requested to convey his greetings and appreciation to the President of the Republic for sending the Minister of Foreign Affairs to Port Sudan for the second time within a short period. He also requested to convey the thanks and appreciation of the Sudanese people for the aspects of care provided by Egypt to Sudanese citizens who took refuge in Egypt during the recent period, and praised the contract. Successfully passed the high school exams for members of the Sudanese community in Egypt, whose number exceeded 28 thousand students.
