Egypt Daily News – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Wednesday the need for “new energy” in the government amid a significant cabinet reshuffle during the ongoing war with Russia.

This reshuffle comes at a crucial moment for the country, as six ministers, including Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, submitted their resignations, with Parliament accepting four of them.

The resignations include key roles such as the Deputy Prime Minister for European integration, the Minister of Strategic Industries responsible for arms production, and two other ministers.

During a joint press conference with visiting Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris, Zelensky emphasized the need for revitalization in the government, stating, “We need new energy today, and these steps aim to strengthen our state in various directions.”

Parliament is expected to discuss Kuleba’s resignation on Thursday. Kuleba, 43, has been a significant international figure for Ukraine, representing the country abroad, engaging with global leaders, and advocating for military and political support. He is noted for his fluent English and has played a key role in Ukraine’s foreign relations during the conflict.
