Today, President El-Sisi met with Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation Alaa Farouk and Director of the Egyptian Military Academy Lieutenant General Ashraf Zaher.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said the meeting focused on the latest developments pertinent to the national project to develop the Al-Zahraa station for purebred Egyptian Arabian horses in the area of Ain Shams.

The station, affiliated with the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, is one of the most famous purebred horse farms in the world due to its pure Arabian lineage.

The meeting reviewed the executive measures taken to improve the station’s capacity, including the use of experts and specialized personnel and the latest techniques and advanced technologies to ensure the highest levels of development.

The meeting also addressed the ongoing preparations for transporting Egyptian Arabian horses to the new headquarters of Al- Zahraa Horse Station in the New Administrative Capital, built according to international standards. The station has a capacity of approximately 1,000 horses, in addition to a fully equipped veterinary hospital.

The goal is to restore and strengthen the global standing of Al- Zahraa Horse Station in the field of breeding Egyptian Arabian horses and improving their breed, serving the purposes of sale, export, and participation in international auctions and related international festivals.

During the meeting, there was confirmation that the opening of the new headquarters of Al- Zahraa Horse Station in the New Administrative Capital would coincide with the annual Zahraa Horse Festival in 2025.

President El-Sisi gave directives to study ways to improve the efficiency of Al- Zahraa station in Ain Shams to enhance Egypt’s rich heritage in the field of breeding and producing purebred horses.

The President also gave directives to take the necessary measures, including the use of digitization and mechanization, and the preparation and training of specialized cadres, to ensure the optimal completion of the new Al-Zahraa station headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, with the aim of producing distinguished breeds of Egyptian Arabian horses that enjoy a prestigious global status and reputation.
