Egypt Daily News – Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, stated that the ongoing Israeli-Iranian escalation, if it continues, could lead to a regional war with devastating consequences.

Speaking at a press conference in front of Wadi El-Natrun Hospital, after inspecting several projects in Beheira Governorate on Saturday evening, he said that any further escalation would have extremely dangerous repercussions for Iran, Israel, and the entire region.

He pointed out that the Egyptian state had been warning of such escalation for over a year, describing yesterday’s mutual attacks as “a major escalation step with severe risks for the region.”

He noted that Egypt’s position has been clear in condemning the aggression and escalation, adding: “God forbid it continues — no one knows where such an escalation might lead.”

He continued: “The ongoing bilateral conflict is highly likely to spread to other countries in the region. We pray that the situation does not escalate further and turn into a regional or global crisis.”
