Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly affirmed that Egypt’s economic cabinet continues to work in a coordinated and integrated manner to improve key economic indicators, emphasizing that the current phase requires constant collaboration across government bodies to achieve national growth and financial stability targets.

Speaking at a press conference following the first meeting of the newly formed cabinet, Madbouly highlighted that the government is implementing clear plans and concrete measures to reduce public debt. He stressed that lowering debt levels is critical to strengthening the resilience of the national economy and ensuring medium- to long-term fiscal sustainability.

Expanding the Role of the Private Sector

The Prime Minister underscored the government’s ongoing implementation of the “State Ownership Policy,” aimed at balancing the role of the public sector with efforts to expand private sector participation in the economy. According to Madbouly, enhancing private sector involvement is a cornerstone of structural reform, attracting investment, creating jobs, and supporting economic stability and competitiveness.

Prioritizing Education and Healthcare

Madbouly reiterated that improving the education system at all levels remains a top priority, framing it as essential for human capital development and long-term sustainable growth. Likewise, the government is committed to enhancing healthcare services, ensuring citizens can access quality medical care efficiently and effectively.

He also emphasized the importance of promoting citizenship values, equality, and non-discrimination as foundational pillars for building a cohesive and just society.
