Egypt Daily News – In a horrific traffic accident, on the Matareya-Port Said road, on Wednesday evening, a bus collided with a truck and a taxi, killing 13 people and injuring 22 others.
The police in Port Said received notification of a collision between a bus and a transport vehicle and the presence of victims and injured people. They moved to the location of the accident with more than 20 ambulances to transport the injured to nearby hospitals, where they were distributed to Al-Nasr and Al-Zohour hospitals in Port Said and Al-Matareya and Al-Manzala hospitals in Dakahlia.
13 people were killed, and were transferred to Al-Nasr and Al-Zohour Hospital in Port Said, Al-Manzala, and Al-Mataria in Dakahlia Governorate.
Major General Tariq Marzouk, Governor of Dakahlia, announced communication with Major General Moheb Habashi, Governor of Port Said, to check on the condition of the injured and speed up the burial permit procedures for the deceased.
The Governor of Dakahlia also directed that the state of extreme emergency be lifted in the hospitals of the northern sector and those close to the accident site to receive any cases of injury, provide all means of treatment, and transfer critical cases to Mansoura University hospitals.
