Egypt Daily News – Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas expressed his strong rejection of the calls for the seizure of the Gaza Strip and the displacement of Palestinians outside their homeland, stressing that the Gaza Strip is an inherent part of the land of the State of Palestine.
In response to the invitation of US President Donald Trump, Abbas said: “We will not allow the rights of our people for which we have fought for long decades and we made the great sacrifices to accomplish them, to be touched and these calls represent a serious violation of international law, and peace and stability will not be achieved in the region, without establishing the Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital on the borders June 4, 1967, on the basis of a two -state solution.
He stressed that “the Palestinian people will not give up their lands, rights and sanctities, and that the Gaza Strip is an inherent part of the land of the State of Palestine alongside the West Bank and occupied East Jerusalem, since 1967.”
He stressed that the legitimate Palestinian rights are not negotiable, and the Palestine Liberation Organization is the legitimate and only representative of the Palestinian people entrusted with its principles, and it is the owner of the independent Palestinian decision, and no one has the right to make decisions regarding the future of the Palestinian people on their behalf.
He renewed his estimation on the situation, for fixed and established Arab positions against displacement and annexation, and adherence to the embodiment of the Palestinian state as a basis for peace to achieve peace in the region in accordance with international legitimacy decisions and the Arab Peace Initiative, calling on the Secretary -General of the United Nations and the UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities and urgent action in order to “protect the decisions of international legitimacy associated with it, and protect the Palestinian people and preserve their inalienable rights, his right to self -determination and survival on the land of their homeland, and to end the Israeli occupation of the land of the State of Palestine with East Jerusalem as its capital.
