Egypt Daily News – “Fox News” reported that President Joe Biden asked the National Security Council to inform Iran that any attempt to assassinate Donald Trump would be considered an act of war.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump called in late September to “destroy” Iran if it harmed a candidate in the U.S. elections, after intelligence briefed him on threats backed by Tehran.

Trump said at the time during a campaign rally in North Carolina: “If I were president, I would tell the threatening country, in this case Iran, that if you do anything to harm this person, we will destroy your biggest cities and the country itself.”

The former president, who recently survived two assassination attempts, confirmed that his life is directly threatened by Iran, amid the intense hostilities between Israel and the Lebanese Hezbollah.

His campaign team indicated that they received information from U.S. intelligence about “concrete” assassination threats against the Republican candidate, originating from Iran.

The American intelligence confirmed to AFP that a meeting was held in this regard with Trump’s campaign, without providing further details.
