Iranian Foreign Minister: We informed Washington that our operations against Israel will be limited

EgyptDailyNews - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian confirmed on Sunday that Washington had been informed that “our operations against Israel will be limited.”

The Foreign Minister said in a statement, "We have warned that if the United States uses the air or land space of certain countries to defend Tel Aviv, American military bases in those countries will be targeted."

He added, "We did not identify any non-military target, and our forces did not target economic or residential areas," according to the Iranian Students News Agency, ISNA. He added that the Iranian armed forces, with precise calculations and using drones and precise guided missiles, struck a military airbase for the F-35s”.

This airbase was used to carry out the operation of bombing the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

He added that the operation targeted an intelligence center where the “Zionist entity”  directed all operations carried out during the past six months, including the last operation against the Iranian consulate in Damascus.

He added that Iran had informed its regional allies in advance of its air attacks on Israel, "We informed our friends in the countries of the region 72 hours before the operation that the Iranian response would be final and decisive within the framework of legitimate defense."

It was not clear whether Iran's allies were also informed of the exact timing of the attack.

The Iranian Foreign Minister said, "We consider the security of our neighbors and the region to be the same as the security of the Islamic Republic of Iran."

On Saturday/Sunday night, Iran launched attacks on Israeli targets in response to a raid launched by Israel that targeted the consular section of the Iranian embassy in Damascus on the first of this April, which resulted in the killing of two prominent commanders and others in the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
