Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian Cabinet approved a new work mechanism that would ensure that the entities in charge of the customs release system and bank branches in the ports can work seven days a week, including weekends.
The decision came in an effort to reduce customs clearance time, facilitate the movement of the country’s foreign trade, ensure the arrival of goods and products to citizens in the fastest time.
This will assist in appropriating prices, and saving additional dollar burdens for the period of container accumulation in ports during the weekends, noting that a reward system will be placed to compensate workers in those agencies on weekends, taking into account support for work efficiency and speed of customs clearance.
